Blog with Vertical Tabs

A mega panel with vertical tabs on the left and auto-generated blog content on the right. Each tab is a WordPress category; the right side is populated live from that category's posts, in one of four layouts. Zero manual updates — your menu always shows your latest content.

When to use Blog with Vertical Tabs

  • Content-heavy sites where the navigation should promote recent posts
  • News sites, magazines, blogs with multiple categories
  • Any site where "what's new" deserves a prominent menu slot

The four layouts

Each tab independently chooses one of four display layouts:

4-Column Layout

Four posts per row, each with a thumbnail, category, date, title, and excerpt.

Content limits

Each layout has configurable limits from Settings → Content:

SettingDescription
Post CountHow many posts appear per layout
Title LengthCharacter limit for post titles (truncated with ellipsis)
Excerpt LengthCharacter limit for excerpts (4-column layout only)

See Settings Reference for the full list.

Tip The blog menu pulls posts sorted by publish date, newest first. To feature specific posts instead of "latest," use a sticky post or a dedicated category for curated content.
